We visited Vigie Beach several times during our two weeks in St. Lucia. There is some beach erosion and part of it abuts a graveyard, but don't be deterred. This beach is practically IN Castries and has shade and a few vendors selling drinks and food. Close to the jetty there is an enclosed area almost like a pool.
